Open Studio, 2017
Images and impressions from the studio at my grandmother's house in Arroyo Grande, Ca. When I moved here the plan was to be here for six months and continue south to explore the Southern California art scene and start Lucidity Festival and continue to grow the Branches Mobile Gallery project. The sojourn turned into a six year odyssey of pain, growth, love, memory, yearning, and art-making.
I've just moved slightly north, to this incredible house in Morro Bay, California, just to shake things up a bit.
This is the nostalgia. (It was a low turn-out. Very hot, the Arroyo Grande police decided it was a public nuisance having artist's directional signage around town and made it their personal mission to keep it torn down. I'm pretty convinced that loneliness and beauty are co-generative. God bless the internet, paint, opposable thumbs...)
Anyway.
