Eurydices process

This is some Bob Ross sh*t right here, in case you were wondering how to "paint" a "painting"

drawings, lots

transfer a drawing, start painting on big panel, four ft square

paint it...

paint it! put more paint on it!

use more paint!

yeah, put some more color on it...

etc....

Eurydice was hauled back to the underworld just as she was about to have escaped it with her lover Orpheus, who, after persuading the king and queen of the underworld with his song, lovely above all sounds, to release her from the realm of Death, had turned to look too soon upon her beauty, breaking the condition of Hades' and Persephone's mercy that he (Orpheus) wait to look upon her (Eurydice) until both of them had emerged from the underworld...this tree-form reminds me of someone being sucked into the earth...it's kind of a stretch, I guess, but I can not not see it in the form, it's contortions, it has haunted me for months...had to paint it.....about 18 hours in and it's not done, getting there, though...man, Bob Ross is a G.
