Winter Studio Session, 2015. Begin.

Image
Lots of paintings to make, drawings to drawing, designs to design.  Grateful for my studio and all the people that support my work.  I am a fortunate one. Used the dry snap in a really rainy winter (wishful thinking, anyone?) to get some panels built and primed. 2015, here I come. Try'n'a make good.  :) Commission deep diptych panels, full scale digital study of composition, misc paintings in-progress, smells like winter. Hardwood Ply.  It's a beautiful thing. Panels measure 16" x 24" x 8" each.

Graphic Design & Illustration

So, when I destroyed a disc in my back a few years ago I went back to school and studied Architecture and Drafting and Computer Graphics for those things so that I could make money without working construction, but stay in the industry a little bit.  Then I got a job drafting for an architect and it detroyed my disc even more, so I got surgery last summer.  Since I couldn't sit at a drafting table and draft or at a PC and work on AutoCAD after my surgery, but I could stand at the kitchen countertop and work on my little macbook that I traded a few paintings for a few years ago, I figured I should finally get around to getting good at Illustrator and Photoshop.  Getting there.
