What I am doing: Pt X
Art is a question of audience, i've learned. Anything is art in the context of an artist doing it. The professional artist survives on goodwill alone. And on it's art. So, I am applying to gradute school. I want to speak to the fabled word where things survive on beauty alone. Because, after all, this is abut beauty/ and what it takes to create that. when does inert material become beautiful? Is that our question? Well, to make a painting, this specific type of beautiful object i:e:, it is necessary to put quite a bit of physical labor into it. I like that. And, like all human endeavors, there is the constant flux between what is intended and perceived. These gaps, these failures, are what my art is about. And the successes. ;) It is important to use the internet to speak these days. There is much more to life than making paintings. Pictures are the important things. An music (music coming soon)
