Project: Man is a monkey, trying to be a tree

What: paintings and drawings of things transforming into other things: Figure into memory, character into myth, image into statement, city into sky, human into tree

When: now, the past, the future

Who: the people and their myths in my life

Where: CA

Why: to create a "coherent" body of work that deals with what matters to me. What matters to me is the mystery of origination, the Ur question of what we are and where we came from, and, maybe, where we are going. Not sure if there is any other why in art, but that doesn't really matter to me.
